Dear Otter Parents and Students,

It is with great pleasure that I serve the Fergus Falls High School and community as the principal.  It is an honor to lead the school with a history of success in academics, athletics, and fine arts.  True growth and development come when you purposefully develop deep relationships with students, staff, parents, and your community.  Our goal is to make sure that ALL voices are heard which then enables our leaders within our high school to make the right decisions for our students and community to grow and develop into great leaders themselves.  The focus for FFHS is to make sure we develop a well rounded student who has had multiple opportunities to develop a sense of community, career and college pathway, and exposure off campus in job shadowing which will enable students to make the right choices for their future after high school.  As a learning community, we are committed to providing each and every student a rigorous education that challenges them to be their best selves today, tomorrow, and in their future.  Together we are better, and the more opportunities we can involve the whole Fergus Falls community, the better we will be as a school.

IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT DAY TO BE AN OTTER!!!

Mark Anderson

Fergus Falls High School Principal

Your Fergus Falls OtterBots had an incredible tournament at Williams Arena Saturday. It was the best showing at the MSHSL champs the OtterBots have realized in the five trips since 2012. By the end of the qualification rounds the OtterBots were ranked 4th in the state and ended up being the captain of the #4 alliance. Overall, the Team would ultimately place 4th in the state after an intense, thrilling, and wild competition. We are so proud of these young men and women and they absolutely represented the town, school and program well.

In addition, the OtterBots were recognized by the Dunwoody College of Technology for various features of the robot they were able to explain and why they were advantageous. The mentors had no idea the team was even interviewed so winning that at the event was a complete surprise and demonstrates the high level of understanding and performance by these OtterBots.

The official season for the team is now complete. There are some off-season events the team is discussing. The entire FIRST FRC Robotics season will kick off again on January 4th, 2025. The name of next year’s game is known, but the details, challenges, and rules will not be revealed until that time.

2024 was such an incredible year for the team. Being recognized by the incredible team from Rochester and the very appreciative team from the Minnewaska area will be a cherished memory.

The OtterBots want to thank the school for their continued support of the team. In addition, without the support of the team’s sponsors this would not be possible. Thank you!!
