Ms. Christianson's Intercultural Communication class found out that the New Americans they met in Fargo needed winter gear. They gathered over 160 items to donate!

The Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools program is aimed at promoting social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities affecting systems-wide change. With sports as the foundation, the three component model offers a unique combination of effective activities that equip young people with tools and training to create sports, classroom and school climates of acceptance. These are school climates where students with disabilities feel welcome and are routinely included in, and feel a part of, all activities, opportunities and functions.
Our students enjoyed pizza and bowling competition in Moorhead last week. Our Unified Champion Schools program is led by Eliza Robertson.
8th grader artists in Ms. Artnson's classroom have been sharing their artistic talents and creativity, treating teachers and staff to new decorations for their rooms!
Ms. Christianson’s concurrent Intercultural Communication class visited Fargo recently, where they spoke with English language learners, ate at Himalayan Yak, and visited a number of international grocery stores.
This class is offered in conjunction with M State, so students earn high school and college credit at the same time.
