Since the beginning of the semester, the Nursing Assistant students are preparing for clinical practice by becoming proficient in skills. Some of the skills include taking vital signs, personal care skills such as nail care and oral hygiene, and caring for individuals who may have visual impairments.
A classroom guest, Lauren Eliason, State Services for the Blind, brought blind-simulation goggles for a hands-on experience with visual loss.
