The city of Fergus Falls let kindergarten borrow a few trucks for the day! What a great way to learn about vehicles keeping us safe on the road.
The Kindergarten classes at McKinley have been learning about landscape painting with local artist Sara Ronnevik. The project is a simple landscape with sky, a grove of trees, and a plowed field covered with a light snow. The students were encouraged to experiment with mixing colors when painting the grove of trees.
As you can see, each student came up with a completely unique painting from the same simple instructions. We thought they were so beautiful that we needed to share some of them! Enjoy our Kindergarten Art Gallery!
Mrs. Schoeneck's class read “Abby Invents UNBREAKABLE Crayons” and then went to work! They created, then TESTED thier crayons! Our Mckinley School princi”pal”, Scott Colbeck, agreed to drive over our crayons to test their strength! SUCCESS!
The second graders were so excited to receive this special watercolor artwork from the residents at Mill Street Residence! Mill Street is our wonderful business partner. We have been making monthly art projects to display on their bulletin boards. We also send a fun library book to share that goes along with our art projects. This time they made art projects for the second graders!
We will display the art in our classroom! Thank you, Mill Street!
